There is no doubt that we can spend a wonderful time whether we look at the works alone, a family, or a lover.
All films are really fun and recommended for everyone, but I selected 10 of the most interesting Ghibli films out of a total of > 20 films.
In Japan, Studio Ghibli is so popular that most works have been broadcasted so many times on television.
People who have not seen it firmly from the beginning to the end, we recommend watching all of the works!!
Grave of the Fireflies（ほたるの墓）

The misery of the war is well described, and I think it can not be seen without tears.
In the famous “Drop” scene, the too sad life of the brother and sister is well transmitted even in this scene alone.
Probably, it is one of the saddest movies ever made.
Pom Poko Heisei Tanuki Gassen
okyo needs space to expand and that means less and less room is available for nature. The Tanukis, a special kind of metamorphosing raccoon, suffer the consequences. There is nowhere to go and more and more territorial fights happen. The old Oroku understands something needs to happen. For once the Tanukis unite and decide on a five year plan. The goal: to sabotage the building projects and scare mankind away. But that isn’t easy. To do so the Tanukis need to improve their metamorphic ability to transform into anything. A work depicting human beings who are breaking nature and promoting development, and bonds that resist human beings. When I was a child, I was looking at interesting works, but when I look back as adults, I can notice and think about the important messages from the movie.
My Neighbor Totoro
When Satsuki and her sister Mei move with their father to a new home in the countryside, they find country life is not as simple as it seems. They soon discover that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro, who can only be seen by children. Totoro and his friends introduce the girls to a series of adventures, including a ride aboard the extraordinary Cat Bus, in this all-ages animated masterpiece featuring the voices of Tim Daly, Lea Salonga, and real-life sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, in one of their earliest roles. A good story, a good character, good work, and very balanced work. Even if there are few people who think that it is 100 points, I think that it is an animation work that everyone who sees gets 80 points or more, and that everyone from children to adults can enjoy it. Personally, I like Mei characters.
Porco Rosso

It was the first and last time that I thought the pig was cool.
The hero’s pig is an insanely dandy and cool pig.
The saying “a pig that does not fly is a pig” is too famous. It is definitely the best film of Ghibli work for adults.
Spirited Away
Chihiro’s family is moving to a new house, but when they stop on the way to explore an abandoned village, her parents undergo a mysterious transformation and Chihiro is whisked into a world of fantastic spirits ruled over by the sorceress, Yubaba. Put to work in a magical bathhouse for spirits and demons, Chihiro must use all her wits to survive in this strange new place, find a way to free her parents and return to the normal world. When I first saw this work, I remember that I was impressed by the beauty of the image.
In addition, many unique characters such as Chihiro, cool Haku, and extremely scary Yubaba will appear.
Thanks to the beautiful images and the attractive characters, as soon as you start watching it, you are drawn into the world of the work.
Princess Mononoke

When I first saw a movie theater as a primary school student, I still clearly remember that I felt like fear, a longing, and an indescribable strange feeling.
When I became an adult and watch it again, I realized that it was a work that had a strong message nature and could be thought of variously.
It is the strong mind of Ashitaka and Sun that I felt consistently. Such a form of two people, I was impressed even when I was in elementary school, and I am still impressed as I became an adult.
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

I think that the work of easy-to-understand stories that have a deep theme but can be enjoyed by children is the true essence of Ghibli work. Among them, the reason I like this piece is the attraction of the main character Nausicaa and music. Strong and gentle Nausicaa can be said to be the ideal image of women.
And I think that the melody “Ranranlaranranran” is a very attractive melody.

The tiny people living in the house sneak out at night and ‘borrow’ things. One sick boy catches Arietty, a girl Borrower, and they develop a friendship.
As the boy strives to get better, Arrietty and her parents must try to survive in a hostile environment.
Studio Ghibli is always wonderful, but this film is particularly lovely. The scenes and images are simply gorgeous.
Kiki’s Delivery Service
It is tradition for all young witches to leave their families on the night of a full moon and fly off into the wide world to learn their craft. When that night comes for Kiki, she embarks on her new journey with her sarcastic black cat, Jiji, landing the next morning in a seaside village, where her unique skills make her an instant sensation. I think it is the most viewed film in the movie. When I look at the clumsy but hard-working Kiki and the people around her who are watching her warmly, I feel so happy and I like it very much.
Laputa is the best work, but my favorite is this film. Music, pictures, world views, everything is warm.
Castle in the Sky

It is a work of an adventure play that never gets bored even after seeing it.
It is a story that can be enjoyed by anyone, without any waste, and can be described as the finest entertainment work.
I have never seen anyone saying that this work was boring.
Grand world view, breathtaking storytelling, attractive characters, memorable scenes of the scene, and a high degree of perfection that is a complete system of the film. I don’t think that entertainment works beyond this will come out in the future.
